China Access Acceleration
Make your CDN-hosted product fast in China — without moving your origin infrastructure.
For CDN-hosted products whose China users see five-second load times — region-aware edge rewriting, CN2 GIA nodes, cached media delivery, without moving origin infrastructure.

Services Involved
Most CDN providers are fast everywhere except mainland China. Without an ICP license, your traffic crosses the Great Firewall on congested international links. Page loads that take 200 milliseconds in Europe take five seconds or more in Shanghai. Users leave before your site renders.
We solve this without touching your origin infrastructure. A region-aware edge proxy sits between your CDN-hosted product and Chinese users. Geolocation detection identifies China traffic at the request level. That traffic routes through CN2 GIA backbone nodes — China Telecom’s premium transit network — to proxy servers that fetch, cache, and serve your content with mainland-grade latency.
The proxy rewrites URLs on the fly. HTML pages, JSON API responses, and dynamically generated content all get their asset references updated to point at China-optimized CDN endpoints. Static assets — images, JavaScript bundles, CSS, fonts, video — cache at the edge with configurable TTLs. Cache hit ratios typically exceed 90% within the first week.
No ICP license is required for this architecture. Your origin stays on your existing CDN. Your domain does not change. Chinese users get a fast experience. Global users are unaffected.
The geolocation database updates weekly without service interruption. Data refreshes apply atomically — no restarts, no dropped connections. Routing accuracy stays current as IP allocations shift.
Observability covers every layer. We collect latency percentiles, throughput, cache hit ratios, error rates, and upstream response times. Real-time dashboards give your team visibility into China performance alongside global metrics. Alerts fire when latency exceeds thresholds or error rates spike.
We have deployed this pattern for SaaS products, e-commerce platforms, and educational content libraries. Typical results: page load times in China drop from 5+ seconds to under 800 milliseconds. Bounce rates from Chinese IP ranges fall measurably within the first month.
