Bilingual digital publishing platform with enterprise-grade content protection
Challenge
A global educational network needed a platform to sell video courses and eBooks in two languages, with device-bound licensing, dynamic watermarking, and a voucher redemption system — all built on infrastructure they controlled.
Approach
We built a modern web platform backed by a lightweight database engine and edge-distributed object storage. The event-sourced licensing engine derives entitlements deterministically from immutable event records. Encrypted adaptive streaming and device fingerprinting enforce playback limits. Integrated payment processing handles transactions with idempotent webhook processing.
Outcome
The platform is in production, serving bilingual content globally with sub-second video session admission. Admins manage courses, vouchers, grants, and user entitlements through a comprehensive backoffice with 17 management modules.

Purpose-built admissions CRM for a Chinese-speaking higher education institution
Challenge
A university needed a centralized system to track prospective students across multiple engagement channels, replacing fragmented spreadsheets and manual workflows that were losing applicants in the pipeline.
Approach
We designed a type-safe architecture with a modern component-based frontend, backed by a lightweight database engine. The prospect-to-enrollment funnel is modeled as a structured pipeline with engagement scoring, multi-channel intake logging, and role-based access controls.
Outcome
The CRM provides admissions staff with unified visibility into the full recruitment pipeline, from initial inquiry through enrollment follow-up. Auto-generated type bindings from the database schema eliminated data model mismatches between frontend and backend.

Region-aware reverse proxy that makes CDN-hosted sites fast in mainland China
Challenge
A CDN-hosted web application was unusable in mainland China — page loads exceeded five seconds and cached media was inaccessible. Moving infrastructure to China was not an option due to regulatory and cost constraints.
Approach
We built a high-performance reverse proxy on an asynchronous networking framework, deployed on a single Hong Kong CN2 GIA node. The proxy detects user geolocation via an IP-based location database and rewrites HTML attributes and JSON payloads in-flight to redirect cached assets to the local edge. Non-China traffic passes through to the global CDN untouched.
Outcome
China page load times dropped from over five seconds to under two. The 30MB containerized deployment handles streaming HTML rewriting at 27ms p99 latency. Hot-reloadable geolocation databases update with zero downtime.
